The plant is meant to heal or fix social, personal, and communal problems. However, not every member experiences hallucinogenic effects during peyote rituals. To most Native Americans, visions are a communion with the metaphysical. Use of peyote is never for recreational purposes and the hallucinogenic effects of the plant are considered spiritual visions. Besides peyote, other sacred plants, prayer, and fasting are used to cure this imbalance. Disease and death are believed to be a result of an imbalance in the individual. This includes peyote which was created for medicinal, spiritual, and healing purposes. Beliefs of the church Ī prominent belief amongst church members is that all plants are purposefully created by the Great Spirit. The tenets of the Native American Church regard peyote as a sacred and holy sacrament and use it as a means to communicate with the Great Spirit ( God), also referred to as the Creator. Originally formed in the Oklahoma Territory, the Native American Church is monotheistic, believing in a supreme being, called the Great Spirit. Although conversion to Christianity was a slow process, the tenets of the Native American Church were more readily accepted. These efforts were partially successful, for many Native American tribes reflect Christian creed, including the Native American Church. Please follow the install instructions VERY CAREFULLY! If not, you won’t be able to install the kits properly.
You need to do it each time you create a new Battery session. Now you’ll be able to load kits without the annoying message. To fix this, look for the “Options” section (lower right), select “Apply to other Battery instances”. This results in the annoying “Missing Samples” message. If the user kits do not appear then they were not installed correctly or you forgot to scan the library! Missing Samples Issueįor some reason, Battery 4 was designed to NOT scan its library by default when loading user kits. If you get a "Missing Samples" error, select “Search Library” and “Apply to other Battery instances”.
